To avoid the pitfalls of this lifestyle, her parents decided to enroll at the Convent of the Sacred Heart a prestigious and religious school. She was very fond of music from the time she was an infant. She learned how to play the piano and when she was thirteen, she composed her first tune. She participated in open-mic nights. The singers she admired were Queen Michael Jackson Madonna and David Bowie. She studied music at the Tisch School of Art of New York University after completing her secondary education. After high school, however she enrolled in the Tisch School for Art at New York University to pursue a degree in music.
